The Messner Vascular Institute in Dallas, Texas, has partnered with Universidad Espíritu Santo (UESS) in Ecuador to strengthen medical education through specialized training in advanced peripheral endovascular procedures.

This collaboration gives UESS students, residents, and surgeons access to international programs combining theory, simulation, and supervised clinical practice. Training options range from intensive two-week sessions to full courses of up to two months, preparing participants to handle complex vascular cases with confidence.

Led by Dr. Gregory Messner—renowned U.S. cardiovascular surgeon with over 8,000 procedures performed—the program emphasizes limb preservation and advanced treatment of arterial and venous disease.

The alliance elevates medical education in Ecuador, fostering knowledge exchange, joint research, and the development of new vascular techniques. Together, UESS and the Messner Vascular Institute reaffirm their commitment to global-standard training that advances vascular medicine across Latin America and beyond.
